Who doesn’t like a deal? Most of us like to consider ourselves savvy consumers who know where to find specials that might not be available to the general public. For example, I offered a discounted tummy tuck at my Indianapolis practice for men and women who had “Liked” my Facebook page.

Cosmetic surgery specials are often limited to non-surgical treatments, but many practices believe providing access to effective surgical procedures is both good for business and a way to offer the skills and experience of a board-certified surgeon to someone who might otherwise select a less-qualified doctor. Even when you’re responding to a special from a plastic surgeon, it is still important to research qualifications and training, in addition to finding out how experienced the surgeon is in the specific procedure that you are getting done.

The popularity of social media has changed the way all businesses, including plastic surgeons, advertise specials. “Liking” a qualified plastic surgeon on Facebook is a great way to learn about specials, in addition to keeping up on any events being planned at the practice or recent happenings in the world of cosmetic surgery.
